My name is Lance-Selae August. You don’t know it yet, but I’m your favourite crossdressing homosexual. I wear a beard, and I wear dresses, and I look beautiful. My aesthetic is performative. This blog is too.

I decided to thematically centre this blog around the politics of performance, or methods of performing politics. Over and above that, this blog was a course requirement. So there was some subtle joy to getting to structure this site around things that I love: theatre.

Here you will read some hard developments in the industry, encounter the odd review, and engage in some features around key things and individuals in the South African theatre landscape.
